6Mandala Magic School Mandala May Event – Terms and Conditions

Promoter: Julie Gibbons, Glasgow, Scotland, operator of www.mandalamagicschool.com.

Eligibility:

  • The competition is open to members of the Mandala Magic School aged 18 years or over, resident in any country, except close relatives of anyone connected with the Mandala Magic School or the judging of the competition.
  • No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
  • Agreement to these terms and conditions is a condition of entry.

How to Enter:

  • To enter, share at least one mandala in our Mandla Magic School Facebook Group page during May 2026, with a comment to tell us more about your work.

Competition Period:

  • Opens: 9:00 AM GMT on Friday, 1st May, 2026.
  • Closes: 11:59 PM GMT on Sunday, 31st May, 2026.
  • Entries outside this period are not eligible.

Prizes:

  1. Prize 1:

    One MMS apron made from high-quality organic cotton, printed with vegetable inks, and exclusive to Mandala Magic School + MMS sticker set.

  2. Prize 2:

    One sketchbook made and printed in East Lothian, Scotland, screenprinted from an original lino and mixed media print by J.A. Zeller-Jacques (from Rock & Bird Art Supplies, North Berwick.) Razorbills & Bass design, paired with a set of six Staedtler Pigment Liner pens in black. 

  3. Prize 3:

    One sketchbook made and printed in East Lothian, Scotland, screenprinted from an original lino and mixed media print by J.A. Zeller-Jacques (from Rock & Bird Art Supplies, North Berwick.) Golf Course Crow design, paired with a set of six Staedtler Pigment Liner pens in black.

  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Postage costs are covered by Julie Gibbons / Mandala Magic School. Entrants must be prepared to meet any import duties applied by postal services upon delivery.

Selection Criteria:

  • Winners will be selected by Julie Gibbons based on the emotional resonance and personal meaning of the submitted mandalas.
  • The Mandala Magic process values the story and emotional connection conveyed through the artwork over technical proficiency. Entries that evoke an emotional response or connect in terms of colors and style will be favored.
  • The judgment will focus on how well each mandala represents the process and the depth of meaning it holds for the artist.

Notification:

  • Winners will be notified within 5 days of the competition’s closing date.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 14 days of notification, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner.
  • The promoter will notify the winner regarding the delivery of the prize.

    General:

    • The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
    • The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied by any third party.
    • The promoter’s decision regarding all aspects of the competition is final and binding.
    • By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

    Jurisdiction:

    • The competition and these terms are governed by Scottish law. Any disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.

    Data and Publicity:

    • Entrants agree to the use of their name, image, and entry in publicity material.
    • Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation and our privacy policy.
    • Winner’s name available by emailing hello@mandalamagicschool.com 28 days after closing date.
