In each Magic Circle, members of the Mandala Magic School gather live on Zoom for a transformative creative experience.
These three-hour sessions weave together mandala-making, journaling, and reflection in a supportive community of women from across the world.

From November 2025 to December 2026, our live Magic Circle gatherings will be inspired by The Great Round of Mandala—a map of the psyche’s natural cycles, first described by Jung and later interpreted by Joan Kellogg through the language of art and symbol.
This year-long journey offers a living map of consciousness in twelve (or thirteen) stages of growth, dissolution, and renewal.
What Is a Magic Circle?
Magic Circles are regular live creative gatherings hosted on Zoom and guided by Julie Gibbons, founder of the Mandala Magic School. They’re open to all members of the School!
Each event includes:
A themed creative mandala practice using your preferred materials
Guided reflection through writing and symbol exploration
Optional sharing within a kind, confidential circle
Replays are available within three days so even if you can’t attend in real time, you can participate as if attending live.

The Great Round of Mandala
The Great Round of Mandala describes twelve (or thirteen) natural stages of consciousness. It’s a model developed by Joan Kellogg, inspired by Carl Jung’s psychology, exploring how the psyche evolves through cycles of integration and transformation.
In this series, we approach each stage through creative embodiment, using geometry, colour, and symbol to make the invisible visible.
This is feminist, cyclical, and creative psychology in practice, rooted in the principles of receptivity, intuition, and relational growth.
The Great Round Calendar — 2025–2026
Each Magic Circle corresponds with one of the solstices, equinoxes and Gaelic quarter-day festivals, aligning symbolic development with natural cycles of light and dark.

We’ll swap some stages from the Great Round in and out to compensate for our 8-fold rhythm, but we will cover them all in due course.
What to Expect
Each Circle runs for three hours on a Saturday (6–9 PM GMT/BST).
Participants join from North America, Britain, Europe, and beyond—sometimes even from the southern hemisphere, despite the time difference!
All you need is your journal, favourite art materials, and a willingness to explore.
Each circle is suitable for beginners—you need only curiosity and courage—but it is helpful if you have taken the Circle Magic course for beginners to practice the basics of mandala art.

Payment Terms + Discounts
All prices are in US Dollars, converted at your point of payment via PayPal or Stripe gateways.
Mandala Magic School memberships automatically renew, so the membership fees you pay when you sign up continue for as long as your membership lasts, even if you receive a discount.
Auto-renewals apply to both ANNUAL and MONTHLY payment cycles – there are no minimum or maximum terms of membership.
Refunds + Cancellations
Due to the digital nature of the Mandala Magic School, no refunds are provided for MONTHLY memberships. You can cancel your membership anytime and will continue to have access for the remainder of your time.
We’re confident in your satisfaction, however, if you sign up for an ANNUAL membership and decide the School doesn’t meet your expectations, CONTACT US to request a refund application form within 7 DAYS.
Scholarship Options
Scholarship options are made available with a view to accessibility for those from diverse backgrounds and financial means.
This is in keeping with one of the core values of the Mandala Magic School, whilst still recognising the costs and creative effort that have gone into the creation of our materials.
