Mandala Magic Circle
We’ll gather in the converted barn to create a communal altar and set intentions before we begin creating together.
Throughout your stay, there will be guided Mandala Magic sessions and plenty of free creative time and space to simply enjoy.
You’re invited to contribute songs, stories and poems to our Soul Song Evening and on our final day, we’ll gather in a communal mandala experience.
Our final evening will hold space for group sharing, reflection and revelations.
Location, Location, Location
Burning Love is hosted at an authentically restored former cognac estate in south-west France. Reachable by train from Paris in 3hrs, guests can also arrive via Bordeaux (75mins) or Bergerac (85mins) airports. The closest TGV stop is Angouleme, where you will connect to the local train station, Chalais.

Original menus using delicious, local ingredients are prepared and served each day by the owners, who are award-winning restaurateurs. They care deeply about your well-being and cater for all dietary requirements.* Quality refreshments are also available throughout the day.
Wee Things That Matter...
Egyptian cotton sheets, luxury toiletries, a towel bundle and a welcome aperitif are just some of the extras you can expect at Burning Love. Outside of scheduled activities, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the scenic surroundings and salt-water pool, or enjoy an optional massage to help you deeply relax.
Cultural Heritage
Breaking out from our retreat home, we’ll spend a morning and lunchtime in the charming historical village of Aubeterre sur Dronne, officially listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Featuring a stunning subterranean church and winding streets with specialist artisanal shops, Aubeterre welcomes many pilgrims on the Santiago de Compostella route.

What’s Not Included & *Additional Costs
Please make sure you have valid travel + medical insurance.
Flights and travel costs to the venue, aside from free transfers from Chalais Train Station, remain your responsibility.
We encourage travel by train where possible but can offer a group transfer from Bordeaux and Bergerac airports. We will arrange transfers with an English-speaking driver and provide help with other travel arrangements where possible.
We are able to cater for all dietary requirements but special diets may incur an extra fee of £12 per day to cover special ingredients.
Lunch in Aubeterre sur Dornne is not included and don’t forget to allocate some extra money if you’re likely to buy gifts from the shops there.
We’ll issue a full materials list for all participants and the essentials include a journal and water-based paints, pencils or markers (we will provide water jars, paper towels etc.)
Holistic massage is available to book at a separate cost, to help you relax and replenish during your stay.

Cancellation terms:
If cancelled 90 days or more before the retreat date, your payments will be refunded, less your non-refundable deposit. After that date, any cancellations will not be refunded (unless we can resell your place.)
